1954 dated US canteen & pistol belt

haven't really been buying ant stuff lately but i got these off ebay for £9.99 each

1x made in japan US canteen with a 1954 date cover

1x US pistol belt unsure of date maybe WW2 ?

Not too bad !

The Japanese canteen is a commercial job sold at sporting goods stores
for camping, etc. - easy to find a US model for the cover.
I think the pistol belt is Vietnam era.

just having a look at some pistol belts on another forum & i think mine is a 1944-5 version ?

I always thought that WWII types had 'U.S.' stencilled in black
on the front, and were made with brass fittings.........

Belt is WW2 and Vietnam dated belts can have the US stencil, I have one. Take a very close look at the belt, right
