hi john you have one of those magic marry poppins bags aswell IMO
Cheers for this post Ade, I'd forgotten the two early bandoleers that I was given by an old guy in the U.S.They are both of 1918 origin, but one has buttons?
Pete.
Hi Pete,
buttons are fine... seen plenty before- wish i'd grabbed some.
In case anyone is worried/diaspointed by these possibly being Australian:
Britain imported huge amounts of ammo from Australia, America, and Canada, particularly between 41 and 43. Only a 1/4 of the 303 cases I find in local fields were made in the British Isles (done around 2,000 acres now, so got a lot of em).
Jim.
Thanks for the info Jim, are they Aussie? It's very interesting to know.I also have some 60's dated , which had war time dated ammo in them, given to me after they had been fired.I need to get some tips to go with them
Pete,
Hi Jim, no disappointment at all: original is all I care about
Cheers, Ade.
i believe that the MG with a box with a line through means
NOT for machine gun use
any more thoughts on that? cheers all ian
