Please post pictures of any markings on the inside of the boots.
They are not typical double buckle boots. The buckles part was sewn to the lower part. I am not aware of any US combat boots having hobnails and steel horse shoe heels. As a rule military foot wear was always stamped with size and dates usually toward the top of the inside of the boot.
I am sure these are not US issue boots.

If you are looking for US boots, pass on these.

Just found this thread - definitively boots on the photo are not US M43 double buckle Combat Boots. They looks very similar to British dispatch rider boots, however there are some differences - two buckles instead usual three and no metal plate between the sole and heel.
Could they be private purchase Canadian officers' boots?
Sorry, not sure but they could be. Apperance, shape, details do not exclude the possibility...
