    G'day All

Here's a pouch I've never seen before looks like it has a very feint 45 stamp? very difficult to tell! any ideas on what it's for? and if it's WW2 or not? I'm edging towards it being part of the Patt '44 kit, and my first thoughts where for a water bottle.

I was thinking maybe 44 pattern as worn in the Malayan Emergency period also Rene.
That's not to say it's not late WW2 manufacture by any means.
I've searched Sig's, mg, mortar, aux pouches etc with no luck.
First of it's type for me. It's an interesting pouch mate.
    Still looking
    Dave

Now thats an interesting piece of kit Rene Water bottle carrier for a medic perhaps.
I have a couple of decent reference books on P-37 webbing and assorted gear but wont have access to them till I get back from days off next week if you do not figure it out by then I will see what I can find.
Bit of a long shot but try the gents at karkee web they have helped me out on a couple of occasions when I have been stuck sent them some pics of some odd ball Brit P-37 in my collection.

    Regards Mark K

    That looks really interesting.
I would say water bottle as well, although I have never seen anything like it.
Have you tried with a water bottle to see if it's possible?

Sorry I don't know what it is for, as to the pattern:

unless its an ultra rare (khaki with brass parts) prototype, it is not regular 1944pattern (green with aluminium parts)... although it could be associated equipment.

Most likely it is associated to 1937pattern from year1944 onwards (year of introduction for the quick release fastener).
