    You will not believe what I found cleaning out Dads garage. Maybe left over from his National Service days? He cant remember. Dead ringer for Rene's. Its also a 1942 with serial number 14133 which is less than one hundred ahead of Rene's if I am reading his serial number correctly. The rare globe seems to be intact too. Now I just need to find the box and stand.

    Very nice collection of signal equipment

    I don't really know why, but I have a really soft spot for field-phones.
    Maybe it's their simplicity or ruggedness that is appealing?

    Some of the very first ones - in their wooden boxes, with brass fittings and fabric cables are simply wonderful.
    But WWII field-phones have a more "industrial" look to them, that I find equally pleasing.
