Great set up there mate! Love the 43 MB braces too (earliest I've seen!)
Gaad it's funny I pull bits out from the junk pile, that MB 43 was long forgotten about!
Figured to add in some sloppy Aust manufacturing
I'm not sure if we can blame the firm that assembled the brace or the mill that produced the webbing stock...yet it still received an inspection mark! lol
They were probably thinking it would all be blancoed anyway!
I found these photo's on another forum. They show the 503rd PIR in Australia and New Guinea using some P37 items; if I see correctly the basic pouch is the wide Aussie model?
It certainly looks like they are using Aussie large pouches, good spot earlymb!

Not sure if these guys are 503rd PIR too but the man on the right has a British water bottle.
