    It's entirely possible that these are somewhat later as you suggest, Gel.
    Imagine though, how many optical companies there were, making
    'Glasses, Flying, Sun' for the US military.........

    I am finding that there were other companies making glasses for our airmen and flight crews during WW2. American Optical being one, however I still can not find/ decipher what this maker is.. ..I will obviously keep looking, but I still believe that they are original WW2 Aviators.
