    Hi Gentlemen,
    Just returned from the local flea-market. One of the traders asked if the water bottle shown is British or American and is a period piece?. Its not my field, perhaps members may know. Written on the belt - BAGCRAFT LTD. 1944 - any information welcome.

    look and see what it says on the bottom of the bottle itself

    The water bottle its self is British but ive never seen a carrier like that before.....The webbing material looks like British 37 pattern material.

    As already stated, British.

    The carrier is 1940 Cavalry pattern. See here for more info:

    yeah I have seen those, ADE nailed it, it's British, but I have yet to see anyone stump ADE, hey thats a good project for everyone, to see if sombody has got something that ADE doesn't know what it is. LOL, just joking.

    Ive come to the conclusion that there is more chance of plaiting water than there is of stumping Ade with a question of identity on kit! LOL
