    This large 1944 dated tin of biscuits formed part of the "Compo" or Composite Rations.

    The Maker "H&P" is the well know British biscuit maker, Huntly & Palmer. Packed in October 1944. The top has a large round lid.

    Another British biscuit tin, this time for "Welfare Biscuits". This one I purchased in Holland where these were supplied in their thousands to the local population in the winter of 1944-1945.

    Packed in November 1944.
