Hi guys,
These are for sale at a local shop. They're cool pieces, the medic bag being marked and dated 1942. Is the 'medic bag' just a utility bag that has been marked for first aid? Was this a wartime modification?
Thanks,
Mo

I think its a Mk VII respirator bag.Standard Commonwealth early war kit.
There are a few variations of the basic design.
There is an example in my local RSL clubs museum that was also used as a medic's bag.A useful general perpose bag. It's also the bag used by Indiana Jones in the movies
The pack is 37 Pattern. The L straps appear to have been riveted on as opposed to slider clips which are the standard format for this pack.
This one is British build with Australian L straps.
All the best mate

Dave is correct.
I would pass on these was they have been messed with.
Cheers, Ade.

Sounds good, thanks guys! I will take your advice.
They are $18 apiece, but I suppose I could find better.
