Cleaning Webbing

Just a quick question , what is the best way to clean old webbing ? I considered bagging it and putting it in the washing machine , but I wanted to ask here first . Also would it be worth trying to sell it here , or should I just put it on e-bay ?

moist cloth - old face towel and just wipe once or twice - it will take the surface dirt off - i would not wash it - it is like patina on medal - needs to be there :-)
