    Default A Couple of Bergens

Hi all. Just wanted to show you all these two bergens from my collection. The one on the right I believe to be a British 1st pattern Bergen as used by commandos, glider pilots etc. This was given to me by my grandfather who brought it in a surplus shop after the war and used it for camping. To me it is unusual to see the camouflage on it.

The second one came from a boot sale. I know nothing about it. It is not WD marked like the other one. I presume it is British and and you can clearly see the 1942 date stamp on the back strap. If anyone has any suggestions about this one it would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.
