ID of this Pack?

Rather than starting a new thread, I'll try these on here if that's okay.

Would these be South African, or German?

It's S.African Pattern 70 haversack and waterbottle holder.
It was normally carried just above the center packs in photo below.

Ah, I thought it looked like the stuff in this thread but was thinking West German originally. These aren't the water bottles are they?

The SA water bottles were plastic.

Looks identical to the US M-56 canteen? I once had some M56 type cups without US markings, maybe that's what they were.
