    Default M1910 belt - fake/repro?

I'm trying to familiarize myself with US field gear, as I'm trying to expand the range of my collection. I'm having some trouble though, as I can't tell what type of Garand belt this is. It has the overall look of a M1910, but the flaps look too pointed. Thoughts? I think there is variation in the "points" for some belts, but I'm not sure.

This type of belt was originally used in the later stages of ww1.Its the 'economy ' version with the pockets made from cotton duck rather than all webbing..It would have held ammunition for the Springfield rifle. No doubt they were pressed into service in ww2 too.
Are there no marking on it at all?Sometimes the Mills logo is stamped on the brass belt ends...
ill dig mine out and compare it.Its not British made.

Ah, thank you! I don't have it yet; just wanted to check up on the forum first. There is a marking on the back, but it it hard to make out. If there is a marking on the end, it must be on the other side; judging from this picture.

Looks like a nice minty original to me.I dont think anyone is making repros of these.

Mine is stamped LONG 6-18 and LEFT and RIGHT on the respective parts.

I like this example! It is original and mint. Nothing wrong with it.
The hooks of the extension belt are all intact (a very good sign), sometimes they are cut off by the owner.

    Best regards,
    Taka
