Hi,
I got that entrenching tool few years ago and I want to know if it is M1943 or simply a clone for foreign/civilian use.
It is only marked "Made in Korea".
Thanks !

It's not an M1943, this was used later, like 1956 or later. It might have been copied by the Koreans for their Army. I know this style was used in Vietnam and later, and was replaced by the tri-fold shovel.
thank you - what model is it then ? modified m43 or m51 ?
Here's a quick link with some good info, but it's missing the M1943 variation pictures I'm guessing yours would be an M1951 variant or copy
