Dont worry!You have a perfectly good clean example of the service respirator.Nice that it has the No2 antigas ointment in a jar.Contemporary pictures show this in use alongside the type in the tins.They are fairly scarce.
As for the crowsfoot markings..somtimes they are just mis-stamped and the printed ones just wear off.

Now you just have to find a good MKV or MKVI bag and some eyeshields.

Very nice, I dont think you should have any reasons for concern, the markings are all very similar to my example.

Well personally I wouldn't worry too much, as long as its a war dated bag it should be OK. But its a matter of opinion of course.
