Hey guys, thought id share a recent garage sale find.
Ive only got this this morning, so havent researched it yet, but i believe its a royal signals telephone cable? reel and frame.

On a side note, has anyone seen a photo of one in use? I can only seem to find images of two, one which was for sale listed as "airborne" presumably to bump the price up.

Sadly, I have not seen a picture of one in use. However, you might be interested to know that it is called Apparatus, cable laying, No 2. Refer to G.S. Publications 741, Signal Training (All Arms) Pamphlet No. 3, Electricity and Line Signalling, 22nd July 1942, Chapter II - Line Instruments, Section 29 - Apparatus, cable laying, No 2, page 62 and figure 39
