    Hello to All
    I have had this for sometime but never knew what exactly it was for. It is marked ENGLAND and has M&S 1942 with another marking of 30 with a arrow above it.It is 4'2" in lenght and has a big mag/tool pouch on it. So I was thinking British but for what. So I decided that the you guy's would know. So here are some pic's.     looks like the carrier for a lee enfield ww2 british uncommon piece of field gear

    Maxfield & Sons (Sheffield)

    For some reason, the web case for the enfield rifle are not so common as items like the spares case for the bren gun.
    .. As ever, WW2 dated items are most desirable.
