They look like the old stoneware ginger beer bottles from the convict era here in Australia. Not sure what their origin is where you are mate, they certainly look old.
Its a WW1 Rum bottle they usually have SRD printed on the side which is short for Service Rum Distillate... It's basically rum they used to water down and hand out in the trenches
May also be a SRD rum bottle of RN origins.
They are Stoneware Demijohns used by the military for Water storage and in the case of the British Navy,Rum.
I cant make out the letters on top of the smaller one,but they are sometimes maked SRD for Supply Reserve Depot,also some have the Broardarrow too.

Like so... They came in all sorts of variations too some had pottery handles on the side some had wire handles on them and some were just plain like this
