Circa WWII period (or post war) trench art swagger stick, made from a button and a bullet case. The button is the type used by the Norfolk Regiment between 1937 to 1958. The overall length is 72cm or 28 and a 1/4 inches.

Nice stick Jerry. I would say post- war, as it appears to be using a 7.62 cartridge as used in the SLR

I mean't to post the thread as circa WWII and as you say post war would be more appropriate, but of course the thread title then becomes too long and unwieldy! And, if I had put post war it would get even fewer looks than it would as WWII, as always most Brit stuff does not attract much interest.
