    Australia started using NSNs 1961-1963
Conversions were made 1942-43 for the Australian P'43 Jungle webbing from existing stocks
Starting in 1943 a purpose built version was made with a wider band for c hook attachment most made in Australia some in Canada.
NSNs were added during the Vietnam War for re-issue for use with 8465-66-024-1074 Cover, Water Canteen Woolen (used in training with the M1951 Canteen)
NSN 8465-66-013-7540 for the converted version
    NSN 8465-66-013-7541 for 1943-45 version
No Carriers were made or converted during the Vietnam were existing stock were just NSNed

    Australian P'62 was used a lot of P'37 (P'43) & P'44
1st issue 1962 was M1956 straight from US Stocks and had US FSN numbers
    ie: 8465-191-0366 Canteen Aluminum M1951 (1962)
8465-577-4924 Belt, Individual Equipment M1956 large

2nd issue 1963 was built in the US to Australian specs and had US foreign sale NSNs (50 added to FSN for Australia)

8465-50-577-4924 Belt, Individual Equipment M1956 large
