Pattern 37 Pouch Mk. III dated 1944
Just found this pouch with this specifications:
1. Made of heavy duty canvas
2. With Quick Release closure not buttons
3. Marked N & A. H. 1944 ->
Mk. III
4. Metal fitting buckle at the back (attachment for Braces) made of steel instead of brass
From which company is N & A.H. ?

I don't think that's a P44 pouch, but a late-model P37. On P44's the distance between the top of the flap and the eyelet for the closure is much bigger. Late-war P37 MK. III pouches did the have the 'quick release'-type closure and I think this is one fo them. I have at least 1 example too, somewhere...
It is indeed not a 44 pattern pouch, it is a 37 pattern pouch with a quick release fastener instead of the more common popper. Absolutely not 44 pattern.
Fairly uncommon but not particularly rare or even valuable (worth as much as a normal wartime example), i too have a 1944 dated example by MECO. While 1944 dated examples do exist, i have yet to see one in a wartime photograph.
They are easily found here and cheaper than a standard P37 pouch.... Typically around €5 for wartime dated ones and still not much interest. I heard they weren't issued to British troops before VE Day though, which might explain why?
