G'day all,
Nothing really special but I did find this one at my local surplus store en route to buy the Wife's Biltong!
interesting it's '42 mfg and a '42 enlistment date

Cool! Nice to know the history of a piece!
Another I found this afternoon- double named 1941 example.
Maybe issued during training?
Nice one & named to a Commando too! Probably handed back in and reissued to the chocco during the war
Nice pouch René! Notice how the closure strap on that Canadian pouch is 3/4" wide, this was changed to 1" on all Canadian basic and utility pouches in 1941.

Here's a thread I posted on such modifications on the Canadian forum.
Excellent work mate! Thanks for sharing. I feel any item, no matter how small, that can be traced back to a veteran is a fascinating one! Cheers
