    Hi there
I am looking to sell my Chest Bren gun complete with case & accessories. I think it is an early de-ac(it isn't welded up)although I have lost the papers that came with it. It is a Mk1 dated 1943 with a letter D which I presume is where it was made.

I can of course get some pics done if this would help(I seem to recall it has a later barrel).

Could anybody give me an idea of a fair price for it. I did ask somebody at a fair & was told the case is worth as much as the case.

Also where would be the best place to sell it?

Any help would be gratefully received.

    Thanks in advance

    Rob

Hello, from which country are you? In France when a weapon is de-act, they give two papers and there is a marking on the weapon. So, if i lost the papers, I can show the marking on the weapon.

Sorry I forgot I had joined here from France. The gun is a UK de-ac & is situated now in London. I will try & find the certificate this afternoon.

I have one exactly the same but dated 1941, mint condition. Unless you price it well below the going rate I don't think you will have much luck to be honest. I have had mine up for sale for a while. The market is knackered right now.

    What is the going rate?

Cased in average condition I see them advertised for £600 or thereabouts. Whether they sell at that price is another question.
