Can anyone help with the age of this belt and holsters. Not my field but i'm guessing that the holsters are for large revolvers. Does the Ca 16 refer to the age on the second one? would very much appreciate some assistance.
Thanks.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
Sam Brown belts can be very difficult to date as they are rarely date marked and the basic design remained unchanged for years.
My feeling is the "ca 16" is not a date. But I cannot tell you what it stands for either... Larger sized holsters for a .455 revolver would point towards a WW1 date.
Cheers, Ade.
Thanks Ade
They came with a number of items from early 1900's so that kind of fits.
inherited quite a lot of this sort of stuff so may not be the last time I trouble this forum.
Thanks Again
Pat
