Here is a picture of the inside it seems to be zinc lined
Has it got three handles on each side? Looks like a repatriation casket. Grisly find.
If it is such a casket, it is something that deserves to be preserved, though it’s not something I would care to have in my collection...

Found this one online, was up for auction.

The example in #1 is not the same, it seems smaller.
