Trench Loo Chain?

Dear Forum,

I had this item come in with some WW1 lot of equipment. It looks like a loo chain. I really do not know, but perhaps it is something else

I was hoping to get some opinion.

Yup it's an old high cistern type bog chain, we had one in the outside thunderbox at our old house exactly the same!...
