Unknown holster w/ unknown gun type

My friend suggested that this site may have an answer. I recently picked up this holster. I am trying to determine where it comes from and what belongs in it. I was hoping someone on here could help me out.

i dont think its that, the magazine section is too wide. its wide and thin.

that looks pretty damn close, this paint is old though. would they have painted it for parade or why is it white? winter gear?

I'd think the white paint, would denote Police Use, but parade use is possible.
