Article about: I bought this today because I like it . I was told it was used for helping new GI's learn the Garand. The guy said it was from WWII but I think it could be either WWII or Korean War. The med

    It was heartbreaking having to either deactivate it or hand it in for total and utter destruction The only thing which easied the pain was I paid £85 for it when I was 18. It was my first live firearm. But when I sold it I got £250 for it. Now worth a lot more of course...

    I do have a photo of it which I will have to dig out and scan.

    Jay the national guard unit is the 42 Rainbow Division.
    Mike yes it would make a nice set but the blanket is a lot cheaper then the Garand. My Father has one I wonder if I can talk him out of it.
