    Hello All,
As some may have heard, The Marine Corps get a lot of hand me downs. Also we tend to get the older equipment and keep it
I was training a Communications tech on our ATC radios and we have had this set of binoculars at our Transmitter/Receive site since I started there in 2002 and hear they sit. The TX/RX site is on the airfield and when we want to see what's happening in the real world/Airfield we use these.

Hey Phil, I believe it 100% when I went through MCT 10 yrs ago the tripod for my M240 was dated 1943! I learned the M1919 Browning and the M240 use the same exact tripod. I asked if I could take it home and the Marine Corps just take a couple hundred outta my pay and the answer was no of course lol. But there are quite a few things we use today that go all the way back to WWII.
