webbing weapon sling or strap

hi, I wonder if anyone can tell me what this is. Its a bit of an odd colour, a faded pinky brown. It is 2 inches wide and the length, as seen, is 30.5 inches although it can be lengthened by another 5 inches. The slider is brass and the end fittings steel. There are no markings. By the looks of the fittings, I imagine this is for a fairly hefty weapon.

Any thoughts?

with the screw fittings it is probably for a weapon..... i have a feeling it's a civilian target rifle (fullbore) sling, but am not certain.
