Thank you all for your comments. I will ask his neighbour to take a look, see if he can find this thing. Maybe call in the guy from the TV series weapons hunter........ha.

A few years ago,I did manage to find one more item up at the cottage. This tunic was found in a box, in a forgotten shed, that was open to the elements. I saved what I could. If I only knew about the Bren carrier.

This is my granpas ww1 tunic. I added the medals.

Sorry to hear about your Dad and good to hear his memory will live on, a very nice tunic and if (what looks like a) bren gun carrier is still there will you restore it?

I can't change the battery in my watch, let alone restore a Bren carrier. If by chance it is still there.....doubt it.......I would contact the local museum.

Hi Steve, last I heard it is in Armstrong Ontario....somewhere.
If you know anyone up there, maybe ask them to snoop around.
Would be absolutely awesome if you tracked it down and rebuilt it.
If I hear anything else, will pass along the info.
