I bought these on an auction for $3.00 US. The one canteen without a cover is unmarked but seems identical to the marked one, minus the markings. It was a good day for me.

Hey, great canteens, Gagevet !
WWI canteens were also 'recycled' and used again in WWII,
so it's real nice to see a 1918 dated cover - fantastic condition for it's age !
$3.00 is a steal . . . !
Regards,
Steve.
That was a very good deal!
The metal topped canteen will almost certainly date from WW1 as well. The maker of the canteen, AGM Co. is AMERICAN GAZ MACHINE Co. They made canteens etc in WW2, but by this time with a plastic screw top.
LCC & Co. is a well known maker from WW1, but I don't know the full name of the company.
Cheers, Ade.
