WW2 American Gas Mask Bag, type?

Article about: Hey guys, Got a nice tidy U.S Gas Mask bag today. I've seen one a long time ago but forgotten what kind of gas mask went in it. WW2? What kit did it go with? Looks like it connects onto webb

    yeah the one I saw was that colour.
    I will be keeping a sneaky eye out for one, under the radar of the wife. ha ha.

    easy done these at the min not too expensive
    these where revamped and (over here) used as safety equipment in the 60's

    I don't know about NZ, but they are still very common in the UK (perhaps left behind as surplus?). I have one that was pilfered during the war by a local poacher.... Pheasants fit in them perfectly!

    Thanks guys, yes it is a shame.
    Perfect as a bag to stuff rabbits in, well maybe 3 -4.
    Still look for a mask to go in it.
