ww2 British Army Prayer Book

Hello mates!Few days ago I was lucky to won this nice ww2 British Army Prayer Book dated beside the company's name6/43 (I think that stands for June 1943).I will really appreciate your confirmation if this is an item that a British soldier would carry in his small pack.Many Thanks for your time and help

Looks as if it is the army issue and it could have been carried by a soldier in his pack. Is it for Catholics?

It looks like the other wartime versions I have seen and the 6/43 would be the date IMHO.
