    As to your question, Aleks
Apart from some flavor of propaganda the memoirs are very informative. I've found a lot of details covering the street fighting tactics/features e.g. breaching the walls to get to the next building, communications lines laying over the buildings etc.

Thank you for the information Mehti. The capture of the Reichstag is one of the most interesting events in the war. Does it have stories of that?

    Hi Mehti

    the illustrations are gorgeous

( Note that the portrait , Stalin is represented with a one Order of Victory )
Very good point, Dom! I didn't notice that.

Indeed it seems in this publication of 1948 they've used a pre-June 1945 portrait of Stalin i.e. before he was awarded for the second time.

Yes, Aleks, the capture of the Reichstag covers eleven stories from soldiers and one of them is from this very guy:

    Colonel Zinchenko

The illustrations are so much more expressive than photos. Thank you for posting!
