I am hoping that someone here could help me with this portrait photo. It is obviously a Russian officer in a M43 but that is where my knowledge ends. Can anyone help me translate the back? What branch is this officer from. Is this photo from some sort of ID card? Thank you for taking the time to look and respond.

    Hello,

In your photo I can see that he have 4 stars (captain) on the shoulder strap and the funny side is, one seem missing on the right ?

He dont wear an normal M43 but a Kitel tunic with an red star order.

For your M43 below that's an officer tankman, 2 stars (Lieutenant Colonel) with 3 wounded ranks (i'm not sure if red are for heavy wound or a minor)
