An historic picture SovPha, the expressions etched on these warriors faces similar to those who raised the Stars & Stripes on Mt. Suribachi. They have fought through and now stand in the heart of a defeated TR, what a moment!

Kind of interesting to see the lack of awards being worn. I see two men with actual awards, and maybe 4 with short ribbon bars.

True. My collection includes several other photographs where officers and soldiers lack any awards on their uniforms.
