Anna Pavlovna Mukha, born 1909, pictured here through the years 1938 to 1957.
Although awarded an Order of the Patriotic War in 1st Class, there is no information about this awarding in the archive, perhaps because she was a partisan.
She was also awarded a double Victory, a Labor Victory & Victory over Germany, a Medal for Veteran of Labor, two Medals for Distinguished Labor, and a Medal for Labor Valor. Active in the Communist Party as a member of the Kursk Regional Council, she was awarded the 50th Anniversary of the Communist Party Badge. She worked for a number of Regional Commissariats for Provisions (food) throughout the war in the Ordzhonikidzevsky Region (North Caucasus), Belarus, and Moldova, and at one time was a member of the Council of Ministers for Moldovan SSR. Her career took her to the Moldovan Department of Agriculture until her retirement in 1977 when she was awarded her Veteran of Labor Medal.

The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )
1st July 1916
Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
