Russian Train Wall Mounted Ashtray
I have a metal wall mounted ashtray taken from a Russian train during WW2 and given to my father when he was in the British army working on movement control assisting with train departures and loading etc.
The ashtray has three letters in Russian on the front, which I assume may be the railway company abbreviation and some hard to read Russian words or company details/names on the inside of the pop up lid.
Would anyone have any information about this item and if it is rare or quite common as I assume British troops may often have taken such souvenir items?
Thanks for any help as I cannot now recall much about what my father told me about this item.
