5. Smiling soviet soldiers - not very common

6. The ''paratrooper'' in 1943 with 829th artillery reconnaissance division

7. He with his friends - all three are on photo #3 in the middle.

A whole reconnaissance division?
I guess you mean reconnaissance COMPANY of 829 artillery division, no?

I believe ОАРАД stands for Army artillery recon division (Отдельный армейский разведывательный артиллерийский дивизион)

ДИВИЗИОН ≠ ДИВИЗИЯ

ДИВИЗИЯ - Division. A relatively large military formation comprised of several regiments, plus other units.
ДИВИЗИОН - A military unit roughly the size of a battalion. "Russian military dictionary: English-Russian, Russian-English" from 1945 translates OARAD as "Separate Army Observation Battalion".

I like the Order of the Red Star shown on several uniforms.
I have one myself from (I think) late '44 or early '45 - I intend to get it researched next year along with my Order of the Patriotic War ('43).
