The armoured fist is one of my favourites....in Iraq in 2005/6 Australian troops were under British command for the first time since WW2 or Korea.....we had to wear the Armoured fist patch, and also the desert rat patch....we were quite proud, the first Aussies to wear the desert rat patch since WW2!!!

I remember the commander of the 20th Armoured Brigade in his farewell speech to us saying he was honored to have Australians under his command, however he said that you don't command Australian troops, you just give them a left and right of arc, tell them the desired outcome and leave them to it!!!
