    G'day All
    My printed matter is something long neglected in my junk pile! here's a few re-discovered. Whacked in a few US NG's (Enjoy the SPAM Western Salad)
    I have to use a ladder to access this area of the junk pile! enjoy
    edit - Coca Cola tastes great mixed in with the SPAM and Eggs

    Great collection, René. I agree with Adrian, great artwork. Probably a naive style by modern standards, but it takes you back to a much more uncomplicated time.

    The issue 'They volunteered for Japan' reminds me of the story my Dad used to tell me about how he almost went with the Japan occupation force.
    They called for volunteers up in the Islands to step forward, and my Dad and his best mate did so, along with a lot of others. Then my Dad's mate said " Ah bugger it, I've had enough, I'm going home.", and stepped back. So the Old Man said " Yeah, I think I will too.", and stepped back as well.
    I think he always regretted not going, but at the time, signing on for another year was a bit of a deterrent.
