Thought i would share some photos i have just bought, i got them off a guy whos father was a British Army Photographer in north Africa during the war. Some very nice photos and a couple with Montgomery

All of them have a stamp on the back which says, "Official War Office Photograph" and are all dated '42-'43.

Hope you enjoy and Thanks for looking.

Excellent pictures and some great images captured. The Monty pics are always good to see and the RA picture with the planing table and flashed helmets is very cool.

Do have the date for these two pics of Monty, the one on the left in particular? I ask because though it looks like Monty, he also looks a bit different and I wondered if it was M.E. Clifton James when he visited the "Rock".

    Thanks

@Jerry B, Thanks and i have to say, the one with the planning table is my fav too, as for the Monty pics, one on the left is 1/2/43, one on the right is, 23/2/43 i have added some close ups of them for you, sorry about the quality, my scanner is not working at the moment and i am using my camera.

Thanks for the extra info and that clears up my query as the dates would make it Monty on the steps and not Clifton James.

There is some thing written on the back of a couple of the pics, in the three set of pics, the first one has,

"Paget at arab legion out post"

and on the bottom one it has,

"Big shots gathering brig 2nd from left rear row"
