Hi all,
This is a photograph from September of 1944, somewhere in France. It depicts African American soldiers after liberating a French town. Is anyone able to translate the inscription on the photo?
Thanks in advance!

If you can type it out, I may be able to translate it.. For once my school French will save the day! I can't read cursive, however.
"remember our friends and liberators, Cinq Mars La Pile, Touraine"
