The angry young fella at the top was apparently lost at sea and the recipient of the purple heart. The guys with all the flags were in San Diego, and I believe it's about 1939, but there's no date on the photo itself, however, I believe it's the same guy who was lost at sea. The guy on the motorcycle also served in the navy, but I had to sneak in a photo of him having fun after the war. The sailor with his mom is dated 1940. The "San Angelo Army Airfield" pic was a bomber school and the guy graduated in 1944. I had no idea that my family had ever been Canadian(!), but the fact that he's a cavalry guy makes it a bit better, haha.

Looking at the cap badge he's still artillery not cavalry. I'd keep quiet about the Canadian bit, don't upset the neighbours. He may have been a 'temporary' Canadian as U.S citizens did join Canadian units to get into the war before the U.S's entry. They had to pretend to be Canadian 1 to join 2 not to lose their U.S citizenship this being automatically revoked by joining a foreign army.

Haha, I was kidding of course, Vancouver BC where the photo was taken, is incredibly beautiful, and I'd love to visit again. Wow, I did not know that about joining the Canadian Army, that makes sense, our family is from Oregon, and Vancouver is only 5 hours away.
