    You thought correctly Dean. it's a poster from Cyprus. I am puzzled if it was issued during the liberation struggle of 1955-59 or in early 60's after independence.
    I don't know what ΕΠ.Κ.Α (EP.K.A) means but i guess that the letters K and A stand for Κυπρίων Αγωνιστών (Cypriot fighters).

    The only kind of Greek I read and write is ancient Greek
    Impressive. I did ancient Greek for 3 years in high school and it was a pain in the @ss.

    Imagine that back then i was considering Latin to be easier

    Well, I think it helped a lot, that I was 23 at the time.
    High-School is not always the best place to learn ancient, "dead" languages.
    At the moment I use it all the time. Research, teaching, for fun
    Best decision I ever made

    Hello don_kihoti7

    Hi Stratos,
    i can't find anything online about ΕΠ.Κ.Α. The only thing that i managed to find is Π.Ε.Κ.Α. (PEKA) which stands for Πολιτική Επιτροπή Κυπριακού Αγώνος (Political Commision of Cypriot Struggle) which was established in 1956.

    Cant find either so i made a guess..Since it is ΕΠ and not Ε.Π. its one word, thats is why i said ΕΠΙΤΡΟΠΗ.

    Possible. It's weird that this entity existed and issued posters etc but no report can be found on line

    Strange.Maybe it was something not so important. {The ΕΠ can be for ΕΠΙΧΕΙΡΗΣΗ (enterprise) ??? EΠΑΝΑΣΤΑΣΗ (revolution) ???? }
