Yes those are great pics.
Perhaps they let life carry on as normal and the general public have a squiz after the fuze had been removed from the bomb.

These days they evacuate an entire suburb if so much as a grenade is found.
Any idea where in Portsmouth it was? It'd be great to get some now and then pics if the surrounding buildings still survive. No street names visible on any pics?? Cheers, Tom
Hi Tom cant see any street names i will go over all the photos and see if there is anything to give a clue to where they were taken
Good idea, might be able to pick something up and then check out google streetview! Alternatively, find a local history society forum and post it on there - some local might be able to identify the place. Cheers, Tom
