Article about: A few items of my Grandfathers, he was in RASC driving lorries in in Africa then became the Driver of lieutenant Colonel Bland HQ 8th Army. I can't find any info on Lieutenant Colonel Bland

    A few items of my Grandfathers, he was in RASC driving lorries in in Africa then became the Driver of lieutenant Colonel Bland HQ 8th Army. I can't find any info on Lieutenant Colonel Bland apart from he was in the Scott's Guards . My Grandfather was in the Dorsets.

    They are most certainly treasured items in my collection , I also have his kit bag , that has his army number painted on the side which is nice as it's been painted in what looks like desert colour vehicle paint as it's got a slight pink tinge to it.

    Here are the pics I promised of my grandfathers kit bag, I presume the lettering is done in Desert vehicle paint , but good chance I'm wrong.
