    Hello I recently purchased a group of military belonging to a Lt. Col. Robert Charles Aycock, his military career began in 1942, he served in North Africa, if anyone could find some more info on him that would be great

    I got two hits for Robert Aycock, and two for Charles Aycock. None for Robery Charles Aycock...

    It is helps, he was born 1918, died in 2005, was Army General Staff College graduate and his military career ended in 1966

    After a quick search, It would appear that he is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

    There are some items that appear to have been tossed into this pile of militaria.
    Who really knows where or when he or someone else could have picked up
    or added all the extra patches and insignias. Too bad there are no 'meaty'
    items included with the group - like medals or pieces of uniform.........

    Yes that is the group I believe that this all came together, the picture help to show what connection the patches have

    A few details from Army Registers (up to 1961) to add to the above. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters. Two were earned during WWII, the third probably in Korea. Graduate of the C & GS School 1953, Lt. Col. AUS (Army of the United States) in 1954.
